An experienced maintenance and operations management professional with an excellent combination of functional expertise, intellectual insights, change management, people management and has over 18 years work experience spanning Installation, Design, Repairs, Support, and maintenance of Telecommunications infrastructures and Management in the Telecoms industry. Teddy graduated from the University of Benin, Nigeria with a B.ENG degree in Mechanical Engineering and also has an MSC degree in mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering In Nigeria (COREN). He started his engineering career at as a Trainee Engineer from June 2000 to June 2001 at Shell Intensive Training Programme SITP/Robert Gordon University Aberdeen, Specializing in Engineering. From July 2001 to November 2003, He worked at Anivbassa Engineering Nigeria Ltd where he developed the Hydrocarbon Field Planning Tool (HFPT) Model for Shell Petroleum Nigeria Ltd. From November 2003 to June 2010, He moved to Nigeria Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (mtel) as Senior Officer 1 (Power and Utilities) and later became Assistant Manager (Operations) .In that role,he Assisted in the design and evaluation of electrical and mechanical specifications . Prepared BOQs for all BTS and MSC Infrastructures. Coordinated routine maintenance of all power, lighting, and cooling systems. Monitored and ensured the optimal performance of all cooling and power systems on all mtel installations . Closely monitored contractors/vendors to ensure proper installation of all power sources and equipments at BTS sites and Area Offices. Ensured regular supply of fuel and other consumables at the various BTS sites. Supervised the installation,testing and Commissioning of Power Generators,cables,Transformers,switch gear,distribution boards,air conditioning equipments, fire detection and control equipments. Provided input for the annual budget preparation for the assigned area especially with respect to power supply. From July 2015 to 2021, He moved to MTN Nigeria where he was the ESS Power Management Specialist and was in charge of managing and providing 100% power and cooling to MTN biggest Switch and Data Centre.He managed SLAs,Management contracts for vendors,implemented MTTR/penalties for vendors. In that capacity he acted on so many occasions as the Regional power operations manager, power planning manager, power implementation manager. He was involved in so many projects which include the first IPP project at MTN Nigeria from Conceptualization to commissioning which led to NOD team winning the MTN award for innovation. He has lots of trainings in power systems, operations and maintenance of systems, Systems management, leadership, HSE,etc In his new role as GM Technicals / Project Head, he will bring his wealth of experience in power systems/sector into developing concepts, direction and leadership into Vetron Power Ltd.
